1.  *     سورة الانعام  بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم  الحمد لله الذي خلق السماوات والارض وجعل الظلمات والنور ثم الذين كفروا بربهم يعدلون     swr+ alan`am  bsm allh alrHmn alrHym  alHmd llh alXy Klq alsmawat walarD wj`l alZlmat walnwr xm alXyn kfrwa brbhm y`dlwn     The praise/gratitude (is) to God, who created the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth, and He made/created the darknesses and the light, then those who disbelieved with their Lord make equals (to Him).     Praise be to GOD, who created the heavens and the earth, and made the darkness and the light. Yet, those who disbelieve in their Lord continue to deviate.     Praise be God, Who created the heavens and the earth, and made the darkness and the light. Yet those who reject Faith hold (others) as equal, with their Guardian-Lord.

2.  *     هو الذي خلقكم من طين ثم قضى اجلا واجل مسمى عنده ثم انتم تمترون     hw alXy Klqkm mn Tyn xm qDi ajla wajl msmi `ndh xm antm tmtrwn     He is who created you from mud/clay, then He passed judgment/ordered a term/time, and (a) term/time identified (specified) at Him, then you are arguing/doubting.     He is the One who created you from mud, then predetermined your life span, a life span that is known only to Him. Yet, you continue to doubt.     He it is created you from clay, and then decreed a stated term (for you). And there is in His presence another determined term; yet ye doubt within yourselves!

3.  *     وهو الله في السماوات وفي الارض يعلم سركم وجهركم ويعلم ماتكسبون     whw allh fy alsmawat wfy alarD y`lm srkm wjhrkm wy`lm matksbwn     And He is God in the skies/space and in the earth/Planet Earth, He knows your secret and your publicized, and He knows what you gain/acquire.     He is the one GOD in the heavens and the earth. He knows your secrets and your declarations, and He knows everything you earn.     And He is God in the heavens and on earth. He knoweth what ye hide, and what ye reveal, and He knoweth the (recompense) which ye earn (by your deeds).

4.  *     وما تاتيهم من اية من ايات ربهم الا كانوا عنها معرضين     wma tatyhm mn ay+ mn ayat rbhm ala kanwa `nha m`rDyn     And no verse/evidence from their Lord's verses/evidences comes to them except they were from it objecting/opposing.     No matter what kind of proof comes to them from their Lord, they turn away from it, in aversion.     But never did a single one of the signs of their Lord reach them, but they turned away therefrom.

5.  *     فقد كذبوا بالحق لما جاءهم فسوف ياتيهم انباء ما كانوا به يستهزؤون     fqd kXbwa balHq lma ja'hm fswf yatyhm anba' ma kanwa bh ysthzWwn     So they had denied/lied with the truth when it came to them, so information/news (of) what they were with it mocking/making fun of will come to them.     Since they rejected the truth when it came to them, they have incurred the consequences of their heedlessness.     And now they reject the truth when it reaches them: but soon shall they learn the reality of what they used to mock at.

6.  *     الم يروا كم اهلكنا من قبلهم من قرن مكناهم في الارض مالم نمكن لكم وارسلنا السماء عليهم مدرارا وجعلنا الانهار تجري من تحتهم فاهلكناهم بذنوبهم وانشانا من بعدهم قرنا اخرين     alm yrwa km ahlkna mn qblhm mn qrn mknahm fy alarD malm nmkn lkm warslna alsma' `lyhm mdrara wj`lna alanhar tjry mn tHthm fahlknahm bXnwbhm wan$ana mn b`dhm qrna aKryn     Did they not see/understand how many from before them We destroyed from (a) people of one era/generation/century, We highly positioned them in the earth/Planet Earth, what We did not highly position for you, and We sent the sky/space on them flowing/pouring abundantly, and We made the rivers flow from beneath them, so We destroyed them, because of their crimes, and We created from after them others (another) people of one era/generation/century.     Have they not seen how many generations before them we have annihilated? We established them on earth more than we did for you, and we showered them with blessings, generously, and we provided them with flowing streams. We then annihilated them because of their sins, and we substituted another generation in their place.     See they not how many of those before them We did destroy?- generations We had established on the earth, in strength such as We have not given to you - for whom We poured out rain from the skies in abundance, and gave (fertile) streams flowing beneath their (feet): yet for their sins We destroyed them, and raised in their wake fresh generations (to succeed them).

7.  *     ولو نزلنا عليك كتابا في قرطاس فلمسوه بايديهم لقال الذين كفروا ان هذا الا سحر مبين     wlw nzlna `lyk ktaba fy qrTas flmswh baydyhm lqal alXyn kfrwa an hXa ala sHr mbyn     And if We descended on you (S/M) a Book in paper/parchment, so they touched/touched and felt it with their hands, those who disbelieved would have said: "That that (is) except clear/evident magic/sorcery."     Even if we sent down to them a physical book, written on paper, and they touched it with their hands, those who disbelieved would have said, "This is no more than clever magic."     If We had sent unto thee a written (message) on parchment, so that they could touch it with their hands, the Unbelievers would have been sure to say: "This is nothing but obvious magic!"

8.  *     وقالوا لولاانزل عليه ملك ولو انزلنا ملكا لقضي الامر ثم لاينظرون     wqalwa lwlaanzl `lyh mlk wlw anzlna mlka lqDy alamr xm laynZrwn     And they said: "If only (an) angel was descended on him." And if We descended an angel, the matter/affair would have been executed/ended, then they (would) not be given time/delayed.     They also said, "If only an angel could come down with him!" Had we sent an angel, the whole matter would have been terminated, and they would no longer be respited.     They say: "Why is not an angel sent down to him?" If we did send down an angel, the matter would be settled at once, and no respite would be granted them.

9.  *     ولو جعلناه ملكا لجعلناه رجلا وللبسنا عليهم مايلبسون     wlw j`lnah mlka lj`lnah rjla wllbsna `lyhm maylbswn     And if We made him an angel, We would have made him a man, We would have dressed on him (from) what they dress.     Had we sent an angel, we would have sent him in the form of a man, and we would have kept them just as confused as they are confused now.     If We had made it an angel, We should have sent him as a man, and We should certainly have caused them confusion in a matter which they have already covered with confusion.

10.  *     ولقد استهزئ برسل من قبلك فحاق بالذين سخروا منهم ما كانوا به يستهزؤون     wlqd asthzY brsl mn qblk fHaq balXyn sKrwa mnhm ma kanwa bh ysthzWwn     And had been mocked at messengers from before you, so those who mocked from them were afflicted/surrounded with what they were with it mocking/making fun.     Messengers before you have been ridiculed. It is those who mocked them who suffered the consequences of their ridiculing.     Mocked were (many) apostles before thee; but their scoffers were hemmed in by the thing that they mocked.

11.  *     قل سيروا في الارض ثم انظروا كيف كان عاقبة المكذبين     ql syrwa fy alarD xm anZrwa kyf kan `aqb+ almkXbyn     Say: "Walk/move in the Earth/land, then look/wonder about how was the liars'/falsifiers' end/turn (result)."     Say, "Roam the earth and note the consequences for the rejectors."     Say: "Travel through the earth and see what was the end of those who rejected Truth."

12.  *     قل لمن مافي السماوات والارض قل لله كتب على نفسه الرحمة ليجمعنكم الى يوم القيامة لاريب فيه الذين خسروا انفسهم فهم لايؤمنون     ql lmn mafy alsmawat walarD ql llh ktb `li nfsh alrHm+ lyjm`nkm ali ywm alqyam+ laryb fyh alXyn Ksrwa anfshm fhm layWmnwn     Say: "To whom, what (is) in the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth?" Say: "To God, He decreed on Himself the mercy, He will gather/collect you to the Resurrection Day, no doubt/suspicion in it, those who lost themselves, so they are not believing."     Say, "To whom belongs everything in the heavens and the earth?" Say, "To GOD." He has decreed that mercy is His attribute. He will surely summon you all on the Day of Resurrection, which is inevitable. The ones who lose their souls are those who disbelieve.     Say: "To whom belongeth all that is in the heavens and on earth?" Say: "To God. He hath inscribed for Himself (the rule of) Mercy. That He will gather you together for the Day of Judgment, there is no doubt whatever. It is they who have lost t heir own souls, that will not believe.

13.  *     وله ماسكن في الليل والنهار وهو السميع العليم     wlh maskn fy allyl walnhar whw alsmy` al`lym     And for Him (is) what settled in the night and the daytime, and He (is) the hearing/listening, the knowledgeable.     To Him belongs everything that dwells in the night and the day. He is the Hearer, the Knower.     To him belongeth all that dwelleth (or lurketh) in the night and the day. For he is the one who heareth and knoweth all things."

14.  *     قل اغير الله اتخذ وليا فاطر السماوات والارض وهو يطعم ولايطعم قل اني امرت ان اكون اول من اسلم ولاتكونن من المشركين     ql aGyr allh atKX wlya faTr alsmawat walarD whw yT`m wlayT`m ql any amrt an akwn awl mn aslm wlatkwnn mn alm$rkyn     Say: "Is other than God, I take (as) a guardian, (the) creator (of) the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth, and He feeds and is not fed." Say: "I was ordered/commanded that I be first (of) who surrendered/submitted, and do not be (E) from the sharers/takers of partners (with God)."     Say, "Shall I accept other than GOD as a Lord and Master, when He is the Initiator of the heavens and the earth, and He feeds but is not ed?" Say, "I am commanded to be the most devoted submitter, and, `Do not be an idol worshiper.' "     Say: "Shall I take for my protector any other than God, the Maker of the heavens and the earth? And He it is that feedeth but is not fed." Say: "Nay! but I am commanded to be the first of those who bow to God (in Islam), and be not thou of the company of those who join gods with God."

15.  *     قل اني اخاف ان عصيت ربي عذاب يوم عظيم     ql any aKaf an `Syt rby `Xab ywm `Zym     Say: "That I, I fear if I disobeyed my Lord (from) a great day's torture."     Say, "I fear, if I disobeyed my Lord, the retribution of an awesome day.     Say: "I would, if I disobeyed my Lord, indeed have fear of the penalty of a Mighty Day.

16.  *     من يصرف عنه يومئذ فقد رحمه وذلك الفوز المبين     mn ySrf `nh ywmYX fqd rHmh wXlk alfwz almbyn     Who is diverted from it (on) that day, so He had mercy upon him, and that (is) the clear/evident success/triumph.     "Whoever is spared (the retribution), on that day, has attained His mercy. And this is the greatest triumph."     "On that day, if the penalty is averted from any, it is due to God's mercy; And that would be (Salvation), the obvious fulfilment of all desire.

17.  *     وان يمسسك الله بضر فلا كاشف له الا هو وان يمسسك بخير فهو على كل شئ قدير     wan ymssk allh bDr fla ka$f lh ala hw wan ymssk bKyr fhw `li kl $Y qdyr     And if God touches you with harm, so (there is)no remover/uncoverer for it except He, and if He touches you with goodness, so He is on every thing capable.     If GOD touches you with adversity, none can relieve it except He. And if He touches you with a blessing, He is Omnipotent.     "If God touch thee with affliction, none can remove it but He; if He touch thee with happiness, He hath power over all things.

18.  *     وهو القاهر فوق عباده وهو الحكيم الخبير     whw alqahr fwq `badh whw alHkym alKbyr     And He is the defeater/conqueror over His worshippers/slaves, and He is the wise/judicious, the expert/experienced.     He is Supreme over His creatures. He is the Most Wise, the Cognizant.     "He is the irresistible, (watching) from above over His worshippers; and He is the Wise, acquainted with all things."

19.  *     قل اي شئ اكبر شهادة قل الله شهيد بيني وبينكم واوحى الى هذا القران لانذركم به ومن بلغ ائنكم لتشهدون ان مع الله الهة اخرى قل لااشهد قل انما هو اله واحد وانني برئ مما تشركون     ql ay $Y akbr $had+ ql allh $hyd byny wbynkm wawHi ali hXa alqran lanXrkm bh wmn blG aYnkm lt$hdwn an m` allh alh+ aKri ql laa$hd ql anma hw alh waHd wanny brY mma t$rkwn     Say: "Which thing (is) greater (in) testimony/certification ?" Say: "God (is an) honest witness between me and between you (P), and (it is) transmitted/revealed to me this the Koran, to warn you with it and who (was) reached (informed); that you are witnessing/testifying (E), that with God, (are) other Gods." Say: "I do not witness/testify." Say: "But He is one God, and that I am innocent from what you share (with God)."     Say, "Whose testimony is the greatest?" Say, "GOD's. He is the witnes between me and you that this Quran has been inspired to me, to preac it to you and whomever it reaches. Indeed, you bear witness that ther are other gods beside GOD." Say, "I do not testify as you do; there is only one god, and I disown your idolatry."     Say: "What thing is most weighty in evidence?" Say: "God is witness between me and you; This Qur'an hath been revealed to me by inspiration, that I may warn you and all whom it reaches. Can ye possibly bear witness that besides God there is an other God?" Say: "Nay! I cannot bear witness!" Say: "But in truth He is the one God, and I truly am innocent of (your blasphemy of) joining others with Him."

20.  *     الذين اتيناهم الكتاب يعرفونه كما يعرفون ابناءهم الذين خسروا انفسهم فهم لايؤمنون     alXyn atynahm alktab y`rfwnh kma y`rfwn abna'hm alXyn Ksrwa anfshm fhm layWmnwn     Those whom We brought to (gave) them The Book, they know it as they know their sons, those who lost themselves, so they do not believe.     Those to whom we have given the scripture recognize this as they recognize their own children. The ones who lose their souls are those who do not believe.     Those to whom We have given the Book know this as they know their own sons. Those who have lost their own souls refuse therefore to believe.

21.  *     ومن اظلم ممن افترى على الله كذبا او كذب باياته انه لايفلح الظالمون     wmn aZlm mmn aftri `li allh kXba aw kXb bayath anh layflH alZalmwn     And who (is) more unjust/oppressive than who fabricated on God lies/falsifications or denied/falsified with His verses/evidences, that He does not (allow) the unjust/oppressors (to) succeed/win.     Who is more evil than one who lies about GOD, or rejects His revelations? The transgressors never succeed.     Who doth more wrong than he who inventeth a lie against God or rejecteth His sings? But verily the wrong-doers never shall prosper.

22.  *     ويوم نحشرهم جميعا ثم نقول للذين اشركوا اين شركاؤكم الذين كنتم تزعمون     wywm nH$rhm jmy`a xm nqwl llXyn a$rkwa ayn $rkaWkm alXyn kntm tz`mwn     And a day We gather them all together, then We say to those who shared (with God): "Where (are) your partners (Idols with God), those who you were claiming/supporting?"     On the day when we summon them all, we will ask the idol worshipers, "Where are the idols you set up?"     One day shall We gather them all together: We shall say to those who ascribed partners (to Us): "Where are the partners whom ye (invented and) talked about?"

23.  *     ثم لم تكن فتنتهم الا ان قالوا والله ربنا ما كنا مشركين     xm lm tkn ftnthm ala an qalwa wallh rbna ma kna m$rkyn     Then their false tales/misguidance (excuse was not), except that they said: "By God, our Lord, we were not sharing (with God)."     Their disastrous response will be, "By GOD our Lord, we never were idol worshipers."     There will then be (left) no subterfuge for them but to say: "By God our Lord, we were not those who joined gods with God."

24.  *     انظر كيف كذبوا على انفسهم وضل عنهم ما كانوا يفترون     anZr kyf kXbwa `li anfshm wDl `nhm ma kanwa yftrwn     See/look how they lied on (to) themselves, and what they were fabricating (was) wasted/lost from them.     Note how they lied to themselves, and how the idols they had invented have abandoned them.     Behold! how they lie against their own souls! But the (lie) which they invented will leave them in the lurch.

25.  *     ومنهم من يستمع اليك وجعلنا على قلوبهم اكنة ان يفقهوه وفي اذانهم وقرا وان يروا كل اية لايؤمنوا بها حتى اذا جاؤوك يجادلونك يقول الذين كفروا ان هذا الا اساطير الاولين     wmnhm mn ystm` alyk wj`lna `li qlwbhm akn+ an yfqhwh wfy aXanhm wqra wan yrwa kl ay+ layWmnwa bha Hti aXa jaWwk yjadlwnk yqwl alXyn kfrwa an hXa ala asaTyr alawlyn     And from them who listens to you, and We put on their hearts/minds covers/protections, that they (not) understand/learn it, and in their ears deafness/heaviness, and if they see every evidence/sign/verse, they do not believe with it until when/if they came to you arguing/disputing with you, those who disbelieved, say: "That that (is) except the first's/beginner's myths."     Some of them listen to you, but we place veils on their hearts to prevent them from understanding, and deafness in their ears. Thus, no matter what kind of proof they see, they cannot believe. Thus, when they come to argue with you, the disbelievers say, "These are tales from the past."     Of them there are some who (pretend to) listen to thee; but We have thrown veils on their hearts, So they understand it not, and deafness in their ears; if they saw every one of the signs, not they will believe in them; in so much that when th ey come to thee, they (but) dispute with thee; the Unbelievers say: "These are nothing but tales of the ancients."

26.  *     وهم ينهون عنه وينأون عنه وان يهلكون الا انفسهم ومايشعرون     whm ynhwn `nh wynAwn `nh wan yhlkwn ala anfshm wmay$`rwn     And they forbid/prevent from it, and they go far from it, and that they truly destroy (non) except themselves, and they do not feel/know.     They repel others from this (Quran), as they themselves stay away from it, and thus, they only destroy themselves without perceiving.     Others they keep away from it, and themselves they keep away; but they only destroy their own souls, and they perceive it not.

27.  *     ولو ترى اذ وقفوا على النار فقالوا ياليتنا نرد ولانكذب بايات ربنا ونكون من المؤمنين     wlw tri aX wqfwa `li alnar fqalwa yalytna nrd wlankXb bayat rbna wnkwn mn almWmnyn     And if you see/understand, if they were suspended/stood on the fire, so they said: "Oh, if only we be returned and we not lie/deny/falsify with our Lord's verses/evidences, and we be from the believers."     If only you could see them when they face the hellfire! They would say then, "Woe to us. Oh, we wish we could go back, and never reject our Lord's revelations, and join the believers."     If thou couldst but see when they are confronted with the Fire! They will say: "Would that we were but sent back! Then would we not reject the signs of our Lord, but would be amongst those who believe!"

28.  *     بل بدا لهم ما كانوا يخفون من قبل ولو ردوا لعادوا لما نهوا عنه وانهم لكاذبون     bl bda lhm ma kanwa yKfwn mn qbl wlw rdwa l`adwa lma nhwa `nh wanhm lkaXbwn     But/rather it appeared to them what they were hiding from before, and even if they were returned they would have returned (repeated) to what they were forbidden prevented from it, and that they truly are lying/denying/falsifying (E).     As a matter of fact, (they only say this because) their secrets have been exposed. If they go back, they will commit exactly the same crimes. They are liars.     Yea, in their own (eyes) will become manifest what before they concealed. But if they were returned, they would certainly relapse to the things they were forbidden, for they are indeed liars.

29.  *     وقالوا ان هي الا حياتنا الدنيا ومانحن بمبعوثين     wqalwa an hy ala Hyatna aldnya wmanHn bmb`wxyn     And they said: "That truly it is except our life the present life/worldly life, we are not with being resurrected/revived."     They say (subconsciously), "We live only this life; we will not be resurrected."     And they (sometimes) say: "There is nothing except our life on this earth, and never shall we be raised up again."

30.  *     ولو ترى اذ وقفوا على ربهم قال اليس هذا بالحق قالوا بلى وربنا قال فذوقوا العذاب بما كنتم تكفرون     wlw tri aX wqfwa `li rbhm qal alys hXa balHq qalwa bli wrbna qal fXwqwa al`Xab bma kntm tkfrwn     And if you see/understand if they stopped/arrested at their Lord, he said: "Is that not with the truth/real ?" They said: "Yes/certainly, by our Lord." He said: "So taste/experience the torture, with what you were disbelieving."     If you could only see them when they stand before their Lord! He would say, "Is this not the truth?" They would say, "Yes, by our Lord." He would say, "You have incurred the retribution by your disbelief."     If thou couldst but see when they are confronted with their Lord! He will say: "Is not this the truth?" They will say: "Yea, by our Lord!" He will say: "Taste ye then the penalty, because ye rejected Faith."

31.  *     قد خسر الذين كذبوا بلقاء الله حتى اذا جاءتهم الساعة بغتة قالوا ياحسرتنا على مافرطنا فيها وهم يحملون اوزارهم على ظهورهم الا ساء مايزرون     qd Ksr alXyn kXbwa blqa' allh Hti aXa ja'thm alsa`+ bGt+ qalwa yaHsrtna `li mafrTna fyha whm yHmlwn awzarhm `li Zhwrhm ala sa' mayzrwn     Those who denied had lost with God's meeting until when the Hour/Resurrection came to them82suddenly, they said: "Oh, our grief/sorrow on what we neglected/wasted in it." And they are carrying their sins on their backs, is it not evil/harmful what they carry/bear?     Losers indeed are those who disbelieve in meeting GOD, until the Hour comes to them suddenly, then say, "We deeply regret wasting our lives in this world." They will carry loads of their sins on their backs; what a miserable load!     Lost indeed are they who treat it as a falsehood that they must meet God,- until on a sudden the hour is on them, and they say: "Ah! woe unto us that we took no thought of it"; for they bear their burdens on their backs, and evil indeed are the burdens that they bear?

32.  *     وماالحياة الدنيا الا لعب ولهو وللدار الاخرة خير للذين يتقون افلا تعقلون     wmaalHya+ aldnya ala l`b wlhw wlldar alaKr+ Kyr llXyn ytqwn afla t`qlwn     And the life the present/worldly life is not except playing/amusement/enjoyment and play things, and (the) end's (other life's) house/home (E) (is) better to those who fear and obey, so do you not reason/understand?     The life of this world is no more than illusion and vanity, while the abode of the Hereafter is far better for the righteous. Do you not understand?!     What is the life of this world but play and amusement? But best is the home in the hereafter, for those who are righteous. Will ye not then understand?

33.  *     قد نعلم انه ليحزنك الذي يقولون فانهم لايكذبونك ولكن الظالمين بايات الله يجحدون     qd n`lm anh lyHznk alXy yqwlwn fanhm laykXbwnk wlkn alZalmyn bayat allh yjHdwn     We had known that it saddens you (E) what they say, so they truly do not deny you, and but the unjust/oppressors, (are) disbelieving and denying with God's verses/evidences.     We know that you may be saddened by what they say. You should know that it is not you that they reject; it is GOD's revelations that the wicked disregard.     We know indeed the grief which their words do cause thee: It is not thee they reject: it is the signs of God, which the wicked contemn.

34.  *     ولقد كذبت رسل من قبلك فصبروا على ماكذبوا واوذوا حتى اتاهم نصرنا ولامبدل لكلمات الله ولقد جاءك من نبأ المرسلين     wlqd kXbt rsl mn qblk fSbrwa `li makXbwa wawXwa Hti atahm nSrna wlambdl lklmat allh wlqd ja'k mn nbA almrslyn     And messengers from before you had been lied to/denied, so they were patient on what they were denied (rejected) and they were harmed mildly, until Our victory/aid came to them, and (there is) no exchanger to God's words/expressions; and from the messengers' information/news had come to you.     Messengers before you have been rejected, and they steadfastly persevered in the face of rejection. They were persecuted until our victory came to them. Such is GOD's system that will never change. The history of My messengers thus sets the precedents for you.     Rejected were the apostles before thee: with patience and constancy they bore their rejection and their wrongs, until Our aid did reach them: there is none that can alter the words (and decrees) of God. Already hast thou received some account o f those apostles.

35.  *     وان كان كبر عليك اعراضهم فان استطعت ان تبتغي نفقا في الارض او سلما في السماء فتاتيهم باية ولو شاء الله لجمعهم على الهدى فلا تكونن من الجاهلين     wan kan kbr `lyk a`raDhm fan astT`t an tbtGy nfqa fy alarD aw slma fy alsma' ftatyhm bay+ wlw $a' allh ljm`hm `li alhdi fla tkwnn mn aljahlyn     And if their objection/opposition has become a burden on you, so if you were able, that (E) you desire/wish a tunnel in the earth/Planet Earth, or a ladder in the sky/space, so you come to them with a verse/evidence, and if God wanted/willed He would have gathered/collected them on the guidance, so do not be (E) from the ignorant/lowly (P).     If their rejection gets to be too much for you, you should know that even if you dug a tunnel through the earth, or climbed a ladder into the sky, and produced a miracle for them (they still would not believe). Had GOD willed, He could have guided them, unanimously. Therefore, do not behave like the ignorant ones.     If their spurning is hard on thy mind, yet if thou wert able to seek a tunnel in the ground or a ladder to the skies and bring them a sign,- (what good?). If it were God's will, He could gather them together unto true guidance: so be not thou a mongst those who are swayed by ignorance (and impatience)!

36.  *     انما يستجيب الذين يسمعون والموتى يبعثهم الله ثم اليه يرجعون     anma ystjyb alXyn ysm`wn walmwti yb`xhm allh xm alyh yrj`wn     But those who hear/listen answer/reply, and the deads, God sends/resurrects/revives them, then to Him they return.     The only ones to respond are those who listen. GOD resurrects the dead; they ultimately return to Him.     Those who listen (in truth), be sure, will accept: as to the dead, God will raise them up; then will they be turned unto Him.

37.  *     وقالوا لولا نزل عليه اية من ربه قل ان الله قادر على ان ينزل اية ولكن اكثرهم لايعلمون     wqalwa lwla nzl `lyh ay+ mn rbh ql an allh qadr `li an ynzl ay+ wlkn akxrhm lay`lmwn     And they said: "If only a sign/verse/evidence was descended on him from his Lord." Say: "That God (is) capable that on to descend a sign/verse/evidence." And but most of them do not know.     They said, "If only a certain sign could come down to him from his Lord!" 100.  *     وجعلوا لله شركاء الجن وخلقهم وخرقوا له بنين وبنات بغير علم سبحانه وتعالى عما يصفون     wj`lwa llh $rka' aljn wKlqhm wKrqwa lh bnyn wbnat bGyr `lm sbHanh wt`ali `ma ySfwn     And they made/created to God partners (from) the Jinns and He created them, and they lied (invented lies) for Him, sons and daughters, without knowledge, His praise/glory! And (He is) high, mighty, exalted and dignified from what they describe/categorize.     Yet, they set up beside GOD idols from among the jinns, though He is the One who created them. They even attribute to Him sons and daughters, without any knowledge. Be He glorified. He is the Most High, far above their claims.     Yet they make the Jinns equals with God, though God did create the Jinns; and they falsely, having no knowledge, attribute to Him sons and daughters. Praise and glory be to Him! (for He is) above what they attribute to Him!

101.  *     بديع السماوات والارض انى يكون له ولد ولم تكن له صاحبة وخلق كل شئ وهو بكل شئ عليم     bdy` alsmawat walarD ani ykwn lh wld wlm tkn lh SaHb+ wKlq kl $Y whw bkl $Y `lym     Creating marvelously without precedent (of) the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth, how (could it) be for Him a child, and (there) was not for Him a wife/companion/friend, and He created every thing, and He is with every thing knowledgeable?     The Initiator of the heavens and the earth. How can He have a son, when He never had a mate? He created all things, and He is fully aware of all things.     To Him is due the primal origin of the heavens and the earth: How can He have a son when He hath no consort? He created all things, and He hath full knowledge of all things.

102.  *     ذلكم الله ربكم لااله الا هو خالق كل شئ فاعبدوه وهو على كل شئ وكيل     Xlkm allh rbkm laalh ala hw Kalq kl $Y fa`bdwh whw `li kl $Y wkyl     That one (is) God, your (P) Lord, no God except Him, creator (of) every thing, so worship Him, and He is on every thing a guardian/protector.     Such is GOD your Lord, there is no god except He, the Creator of all things. You shall worship Him alone. He is in control of all things.     That is God, your Lord! there is no god but He, the Creator of all things: then worship ye Him: and He hath power to dispose of all affairs.

103.  *     لاتدركه الابصار وهو يدرك الابصار وهو اللطيف الخبير     latdrkh alabSar whw ydrk alabSar whw allTyf alKbyr     The eye sights/knowledge do not comprehend/reach Him, and He comprehends/reaches the eye sights/knowledge, and He is the most kind/gracious, the expert/experienced.     No visions can encompass Him, but He encompasses all visions. He is the Compassionate, the Cognizant.     No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision: He is above all comprehension, yet is acquainted with all things.

104.  *     قد جاءكم بصائر من ربكم فمن ابصر فلنفسه ومن عمي فعليها وماانا عليكم بحفيط     qd ja'km bSaYr mn rbkm fmn abSr flnfsh wmn `my f`lyha wmaana `lykm bHfyT     Clear sightedness had come to you from your (P) Lord, so who saw/understood so to himself, and who blinded so on it, and I am not on you with a protector/observer.     Enlightenments have come to you from your Lord. As for those who can see, they do so for their own good, and those who turn blind, do so to their own detriment. I am not your guardian.     "Now have come to you, from your Lord, proofs (to open your eyes): if any will see, it will be for (the good of) his own soul; if any will be blind, it will be to his own (harm): I am not (here) to watch over your doings."

105.  *     وكذلك نصرف الايات وليقولوا درست ولنبينه لقوم يعلمون     wkXlk nSrf alayat wlyqwlwa drst wlnbynh lqwm y`lmwn     And like that We elaborate linguistically the evidences/verses, and to say (P): "You studied/memorized/read." And to clarify/show/explain it to a nation knowing.     We thus explain the revelations, to prove that you have received knowledge, and to clarify them for people who know.     Thus do we explain the signs by various (symbols): that they may say, "Thou hast taught (us) diligently," and that We may make the matter clear to those who know.

106.  *     اتبع مااوحي اليك من ربك لااله الا هو واعرض عن المشركين     atb` maawHy alyk mn rbk laalh ala hw wa`rD `n alm$rkyn     Follow what was inspired/transmitted to you, from your Lord, no God except Him, and object/turn away from the sharers/takers of partners (with God).     Follow what is revealed to you from your Lord, there is no god except He, and disregard the idol worshipers.     Follow what thou art taught by inspiration from thy Lord: there is no god but He: and turn aside from those who join gods with God.

107.  *     ولو شاء الله مااشركوا وماجعلناك عليهم حفيظا وماانت عليهم بوكيل     wlw $a' allh maa$rkwa wmaj`lnak `lyhm HfyZa wmaant `lyhm bwkyl     And if God wanted/willed, they would not (have) shared/made partners (with God), and We did not make you a protector/observer on them, and you are not on them with a guardian.     Had GOD willed, they would not have worshiped idols. We did not appoint you as their guardian, nor are you their advocate.     If it had been God's plan, they would not have taken false gods: but We made thee not one to watch over their doings, nor art thou set over them to dispose of their affairs.

108.  *     ولاتسبوا الذين يدعون من دون الله فيسبوا الله عدوا بغير علم كذلك زينا لكل امة عملهم ثم الى ربهم مرجعهم فينبئهم بماكانوا يعملون     wlatsbwa alXyn yd`wn mn dwn allh fysbwa allh `dwa bGyr `lm kXlk zyna lkl am+ `mlhm xm ali rbhm mrj`hm fynbYhm bmakanwa y`mlwn     And do not insult/abuse/defame those who call from other than God, so they insult/abuse/defame God, transgression/violation without knowledge, like that We decorated/beautified to every nation/generation their work, then to their Lord (is) their return, so He informs them with what they were making/doing.     Do not curse the idols they set up beside GOD, lest they blaspheme and curse GOD, out of ignorance. We have adorned the works of every group in their eyes. Ultimately, they return to their Lord, then He informs them of everything they had done.     Revile not ye those whom they call upon besides God, lest they out of spite revile God in their ignorance. Thus have We made alluring to each people its own doings. In the end will they return to their Lord, and We shall then tell them the trut h of all that they did.

109.  *     واقسموا بالله جهد ايمانهم لئن جاءتهم اية ليؤمنن بها قل انما الايات عند الله ومايشعركم انها اذا جاءت لايؤمنون     waqsmwa ballh jhd aymanhm lYn ja'thm ay+ lyWmnn bha ql anma alayat `nd allh wmay$`rkm anha aXa ja't layWmnwn     And they swore/made oath by God their oath's utmost if (E) an evidence/verse came to them they will believe (E) with it, say: "But the verses/evidences (are) at God." And what makes you feel/know, that if it came, they do not believe?     They swore by GOD, solemnly, that if a miracle came to them, they would surely believe. Say, "Miracles come only from GOD." For all you know, if a miracle did come to them, they would continue to disbelieve.     They swear their strongest oaths by God, that if a (special) sign came to them, by it they would believe. Say: "Certainly (all) signs are in the power of God: but what will make you (Muslims) realise that (even) if (special) signs came, they wi ll not believe."?

110.  *     ونقلب افئدتهم وابصارهم كما لم يؤمنوا به اول مرة ونذرهم في طغيانهم يعمهون     wnqlb afYdthm wabSarhm kma lm yWmnwa bh awl mr+ wnXrhm fy TGyanhm y`mhwn     And We turn their hearts (minds) and their eye sights/understanding as they did not believe with it (the) first time, and We leave them in their tyranny/arrogance being confused/hesitant.     We control their minds and their hearts. Thus, since their decision is to disbelieve, we leave them in their transgressions, blundering.     We (too) shall turn to (confusion) their hearts and their eyes, even as they refused to believe in this in the first instance: We shall leave them in their trespasses, to wander in distraction.

111.  *     ولو اننا نزلنا اليهم الملائكة وكلمهم الموتى وحشرنا عليهم كل شئ قبلا ما كانوا ليؤمنوا الا ان يشاء الله ولكن اكثرهم يجهلون     wlw anna nzlna alyhm almlaYk+ wklmhm almwti wH$rna `lyhm kl $Y qbla ma kanwa lyWmnwa ala an y$a' allh wlkn akxrhm yjhlwn     And if that We descended to them the angels, and the deads talked (to) them, and We gathered on them every thing in front, they were not to believe, except that God wants/wills, and but most of them are being ignorant.     Even if we sent down the angels to them; even if the dead spoke to them; even if we summoned every miracle before them; they cannot believe unless GOD wills it. Indeed, most of them are ignorant.     Even if We did send unto them angels, and the dead did speak unto them, and We gathered together all things before their very eyes, they are not the ones to believe, unless it is in God's plan. But most of them ignore (the truth).

112.  *     وكذلك جعلنا لكل نبي عدوا شياطين الانس والجن يوحي بعضهم الى بعض زخرف القول غرورا ولو شاء ربك مافعلوه فذرهم ومايفترون     wkXlk j`lna lkl nby `dwa $yaTyn alans waljn ywHy b`Dhm ali b`D zKrf alqwl Grwra wlw $a' rbk maf`lwh fXrhm wmayftrwn     And like that We made/put to each prophet an enemy (from) the human's/mankind's and the Jinn's devils, some of them inspire/transmit to some the word's/opinion and belief's ornament/decoration (as) deceit/temptation, and if your Lord wanted/willed they would not have done it, so leave them and what they fabricate     We have permitted the enemies of every prophet - human and jinn devils - to inspire in each other fancy words, in order to deceive. Had your Lord willed, they would not have done it. You shall disregard them and their fabrications.     Likewise did We make for every Messenger an enemy,- evil ones among men and jinns, inspiring each other with flowery discourses by way of deception. If thy Lord had so planned, they would not have done it: so leave them and their inventions al one.

113.  *     ولتصغي اليه افئدة الذين لايؤمنون بالاخرة وليرضوه وليقترفوا ماهم مقترفون     wltSGy alyh afYd+ alXyn layWmnwn balaKr+ wlyrDwh wlyqtrfwa mahm mqtrfwn     And to incline to it the hearts (minds of) those who do not believe with the end (other life), and to accept/approve88it, and to commit/perpetrate what they are committing/perpetrating.     This is to let the minds of those who do not believe in the Hereafter listen to such fabrications, and accept them, and thus expose their real convictions.     To such (deceit) let the hearts of those incline, who have no faith in the hereafter: let them delight in it, and let them earn from it what they may.

114.  *     افغير الله ابتغى حكما وهو الذي انزل اليكم الكتاب مفصلا والذين اتيناهم الكتاب يعلمون انه منزل من ربك بالحق فلا تكونن من الممترين     afGyr allh abtGi Hkma whw alXy anzl alykm alktab mfSla walXyn atynahm alktab y`lmwn anh mnzl mn rbk balHq fla tkwnn mn almmtryn     So is other than God I ask/desire (as) a judge/ruler, and He is who descended to you The Book detailed/explained ? And those who We brought (gave) to them The Book, they know that it (is) descended from your Lord with the truth, so do not be (E) from the doubting/arguing.     Shall I seek other than GOD as a source of law, when He has revealed to you this book fully detailed? Those who received the scripture recognize that it has been revealed from your Lord, truthfully. You shall not harbor any doubt.     Say: "Shall I seek for judge other than God? - when He it is Who hath sent unto you the Book, explained in detail." They know full well, to whom We have given the Book, that it hath been sent down from thy Lord in truth. Never be then of those who doubt.

115.  *     وتمت كلمة ربك صدقا وعدلا لامبدل لكلماته وهو السميع العليم     wtmt klm+ rbk Sdqa w`dla lambdl lklmath whw alsmy` al`lym     And your Lord's word/expression (was/is) completed truthfully and justly/equitably, (there is) no exchanger/replacer to His words/expressions, and He is the hearing/listening, the knowledgeable.     The word of your Lord is complete, in truth and justice. Nothing shall abrogate His words. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient.     The word of thy Lord doth find its fulfilment in truth and in justice: None can change His words: for He is the one who heareth and knoweth all.

116.  *     وان تطع اكثر من في الارض يضلوك عن سبيل الله ان يتبعون الا الظن وان هم الا يخرصون     wan tT` akxr mn fy alarD yDlwk `n sbyl allh an ytb`wn ala alZn wan hm ala yKrSwn     And if you obey (follow) most of who (is) in the earth, they misguide you from God's way/path, that they follow except the assumption/suspicion, and that they (are) except lying/speculating.     If you obey the majority of people on earth, they will divert you from the path of GOD. They follow only conjecture; they only guess.     Wert thou to follow the common run of those on earth, they will lead thee away from the way of God. They follow nothing but conjecture: they do nothing but lie.

117.  *     ان ربك هو اعلم من يضل عن سبيله وهو اعلم بالمهتدين     an rbk hw a`lm mn yDl `n sbylh whw a`lm balmhtdyn     That your Lord, He is more knowing (about) who misguides from His way/path, and He is more knowing with the guided.     Your Lord is fully aware of those who stray off His path, and He is fully aware of those who are guided.     Thy Lord knoweth best who strayeth from His way: He knoweth best who they are that receive His guidance.

118.  *     فكلوا مما ذكر اسم الله عليه ان كنتم باياته مؤمنين     fklwa mma Xkr asm allh `lyh an kntm bayath mWmnyn     So eat from what God's name was mentioned on it, if you where with His verses/evidences believing.     You shall eat from that upon which GOD's name has been pronounced, if you truly believe in His revelations.     So eat of (meats) on which God's name hath been pronounced, if ye have faith in His signs.

119.  *     ومالكم الا تاكلوا مما ذكر اسم الله عليه وقد فصل لكم ماحرم عليكم الا مااضطررتم اليه وان كثيرا ليضلون باهوائهم بغير علم ان ربك هو اعلم بالمعتدين     wmalkm ala taklwa mma Xkr asm allh `lyh wqd fSl lkm maHrm `lykm ala maaDTrrtm alyh wan kxyra lyDlwn bahwaYhm bGyr `lm an rbk hw a`lm balm`tdyn     And how (why) for you that you not eat from what God's name was mentioned on it, and He had detailed/explained for you what He forbade on you, except what you were forced to it, and that many misguide (E) with their self attractions for desires without knowledge, that your Lord, He is more knowing with (about) the transgressors.     Why should you not eat from that upon which GOD's name has been mentioned? He has detailed for you what is prohibited for you, unless you are forced. Indeed, many people mislead others with their personal opinions, without knowledge. Your Lord is fully aware of the transgressors.     Why should ye not eat of (meats) on which God's name hath been pronounced, when He hath explained to you in detail what is forbidden to you - except under compulsion of necessity? But many do mislead (men) by their appetites unchecked by knowl edge. Thy Lord knoweth best those who transgress.

Those who have earned sins will surely pay for their transgressions.     Eschew all sin, open or secret: those who earn sin will get due recompense for their "earnings."

121.  *     ولاتاكلوا مما لم يذكر اسم الله عليه وانه لفسق وان الشياطين ليوحون الى اوليائهم ليجادلوكم وان اطعتموهم انكم لمشركون     wlataklwa mma lm yXkr asm allh `lyh wanh lfsq wan al$yaTyn lywHwn ali awlyaYhm lyjadlwkm wan aT`tmwhm ankm lm$rkwn     And do not eat/consume from what God's name was not mentioned on it, and that it truly is debauchery (E), and that the devils inspire/transmit (E) to their patrons/supporters to argue/dispute with you, and if you obeyed them, that you are (then) sharers/takers of partners (with God) (E).     Do not eat from that upon which the name of GOD has not been mentioned, for it is an abomination. The devils inspire their allies to argue with you; if you obey them, you will be idol worshipers.     Eat not of (meats) on which God's name hath not been pronounced: That would be impiety. But the evil ones ever inspire their friends to contend with you if ye were to obey them, ye would indeed be Pagans.

122.  *     او من كان ميتا فاحييناه وجعلنا له نورا يمشي به في الناس كمن مثله في الظلمات ليس بخارج منها كذلك زين للكافرين ما كانوا يعملون     aw mn kan myta faHyynah wj`lna lh nwra ym$y bh fy alnas kmn mxlh fy alZlmat lys bKarj mnha kXlk zyn llkafryn ma kanwa y`mlwn     Is who was/is dead/lifeless, so We revived him and We made/put for him a light he walks with it in (between) the people, as who his example (is) in the darknesses (and he) is not with getting out from it? Like that (it) was decorated/beautified to the disbelievers what they were making/doing.     Is one who was dead and we granted him life, and provided him with light that enables him to move among the people, equal to one in total darkness from which he can never exit? The works of the disbelievers are thus adorned in their eyes.     Can he who was dead, to whom We gave life, and a light whereby he can walk amongst men, be like him who is in the depths of darkness, from which he can never come out? Thus to those without faith their own deeds seem pleasing.

123.  *     وكذلك جعلنا في كل قرية اكابر مجرميها ليمكروا فيها وما يمكرون الا بانفسهم ومايشعرون     wkXlk j`lna fy kl qry+ akabr mjrmyha lymkrwa fyha wma ymkrwn ala banfshm wmay$`rwn     And like that We made/put in every village/urban city its greatest/bigger criminals/sinners to cheat/deceive in it, and they do not cheat/deceive except with themselves, and they do not feel/know.     We allow the leading criminals of every community to plot and scheme. But they only plot and scheme against their own souls, without perceiving.     Thus have We placed leaders in every town, its wicked men, to plot (and burrow) therein: but they only plot against their own souls, and they perceive it not.

124.  *     واذا جاءتهم اية قالوا لن نؤمن حتى نؤتي مثل مااوتي رسل الله الله اعلم حيث يجعل رسالته سيصيب الذين اجرموا صغار عند الله وعذاب شديد بما كانوا يمكرون     waXa ja'thm ay+ qalwa ln nWmn Hti nWty mxl maawty rsl allh allh a`lm Hyx yj`l rsalth sySyb alXyn ajrmwa SGar `nd allh w`Xab $dyd bma kanwa ymkrwn     And if an evidence/verse came to them, they said: "We will never/not believe until we be given/brought similar/equal/alike (to) what was given/brought (to) God's messengers." God (is) more knowing where/when He makes/puts His message, those who committed a sin/crime will be struck/marked (with) humiliation/lowliness/subservience at God, and strong (severe) torture because (of) what they were cheating/deceiving.     When a powerful proof comes to them, they say, "We will not believe, unless we are given what is given to GOD's messengers!" GOD knows exactly who is best qualified to deliver His message. Such criminals will suffer debasement at GOD, and terrible retribution as a consequence of their evil scheming.     When there comes to them a sign (from God), They say: "We shall not believe until we receive one (exactly) like those received by God's apostles." God knoweth best where (and how) to carry out His mission. Soon will the wicked be overtaken by humiliation before God, and a severe punishment, for all their plots.

125.  *     فمن يرد الله ان يهديه يشرح صدره للاسلام ومن يرد ان يضله يجعل صدره ضيقا حرجا كانما يصعد في السماء كذلك يجعل الله الرجس على الذين لايؤمنون     fmn yrd allh an yhdyh y$rH Sdrh llaslam wmn yrd an yDlh yj`l Sdrh Dyqa Hrja kanma yS`d fy alsma' kXlk yj`l allh alrjs `li alXyn layWmnwn     So who God wants/wills that He guides him, He expands his chest to the Islam/submission (to God), and who He wants/wills that He misguides him, He makes his chest narrow/tight, a tightness/strain/sin, as if (he) ascends in the sky/space, like that God makes/puts the obscenity/punishment and torture on those who do not believe.     Whomever GOD wills to guide, He renders his chest wide open to Submission. And whomever He wills to send astray, He renders his chest intolerant and straitened, like one who climbs towards the sky. GOD thus places a curse upon those who refuse to believe.     Those whom God (in His plan) willeth to guide,- He openeth their breast to Islam; those whom He willeth to leave straying,- He maketh their breast close and constricted, as if they had to climb up to the skies: thus doth God (heap) the penalty on those who refuse to believe.

We have explained the revelations for people who take heed.     This is the way of thy Lord, leading straight: We have detailed the signs for those who receive admonition.

He said: "The fire (is) your residence, (you are) immortally in it except what (who) God wanted/willed, that your Lord (is) wise/judicious, knowledgeable."     The day will come when He summons all of them (and says): "O you jinns, you have claimed multitudes of humans." Their human companions will say, "Our Lord, we enjoyed each others' company until we wasted the life span You had set for us." He will say, "Hell is your destiny." They abide therein forever, in accordance with GOD's will. Your Lord is Wise, Omniscient.     One day will He gather them all together, (and say): "O ye assembly of Jinns! Much (toll) did ye take of men." Their friends amongst men will say: "Our Lord! we made profit from each other: but (alas!) we reached our term - which thou didst ap point for us." He will say: "The Fire be your dwelling-place: you will dwell therein for ever, except as God willeth." for thy Lord is full of wisdom and knowledge.

130.  *     يامعشر الجن والانس الم ياتكم رسل منكم يقصون عليكم اياتي وينذرونكم لقاء يومكم هذا قالوا شهدنا على انفسنا وغرتهم الحياة الدنيا وشهدوا على انفسهم انهم كانوا كافرين     yam`$r aljn walans alm yatkm rsl mnkm yqSwn `lykm ayaty wynXrwnkm lqa' ywmkm hXa qalwa $hdna `li anfsna wGrthm alHya+ aldnya w$hdwa `li anfshm anhm kanwa kafryn     You the Jinn's and the human's race, did not messengers from you come to you, they relay/inform on you My verses/evidences and warn you (of) this your day's/time's meeting (your meeting at this day/time)? They said: "We witnessed/testified on our selves." And the life the present/worldly life had deceived/tempted them, and they witnessed/testified on themselves that they were disbelieving.     O you jinns and humans, did you not receive messengers from among you, who narrated to you My revelations, and warned you about the meeting of this day? They will say, "We bear witness against ourselves." They were totally preoccupied with the worldly life, and they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers.     "O ye assembly of Jinns and men! came there not unto you apostles from amongst you, setting forth unto you My signs, and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say: "We bear witness against ourselves." It was the life of t his world that deceived them. So against themselves will they bear witness that they rejected Faith.

If He wills, He can remove you, and substitute whomever He wills in your place, just as He produced you from the progeny of other people.     Thy Lord is self-sufficient, full of Mercy: if it were His will, He could destroy you, and in your place appoint whom He will as your successors, even as He raised you up from the posterity of other people.

So what (was) to their partners (with God) so it does not reach to God, and what was to God, so it reaches to their partners (with God), it was bad/evil what they judge/rule.     They even set aside a share of GOD's provisions of crops and livestock, saying, "This share belongs to GOD," according to their claims, "and this share belongs to our idols." However, what was set aside for their idols never reached GOD, while the share they set aside for GOD invariably went to their idols. Miserable indeed is their judgment.     Out of what God hath produced in abundance in tilth and in cattle, they assigned Him a share: they say, according to their fancies: "This is for God, and this" - for our "partners"! but the share of their" partners "reacheth not God, whilst the share of God reacheth their "partners" ! evil (and unjust) is their assignment!

In fact, their idols inflict great pain upon them, and confuse their religion for them. Had GOD willed, they would not have done it. You shall disregard them and their fabrications.     Even so, in the eyes of most of the pagans, their "partners" made alluring the slaughter of their children, in order to lead them to their own destruction, and cause confusion in their religion. If God had willed, they would not have done so: B ut leave alone them and their inventions.

They also prohibited the riding of certain livestock. Even the livestock they ate, they never pronounced GOD's name as they sacrificed them. Such are innovations attributed to Him. He will surely requite them for their innovations.     And they say that such and such cattle and crops are taboo, and none should eat of them except those whom - so they say - We wish; further, there are cattle forbidden to yoke or burden, and cattle on which, (at slaughter), the name of God is n ot pronounced; - inventions against God's name: soon will He requite them for their inventions.

In good time shall We requite those who turn away from Our signs, with a dreadful penalty, for their turning away.
